We believe that Child Dedication is the biggest onramp to church partnership with families. The Calibrated Child Dedication Curriculum is designed to be used as an instant small group session that connects families together. The child dedication course walks families through the process of defining how they learned growing up, what that means for how they parent, and what it looks like to create intentional values that will help their family grow today! This course comes with a downloadable PDF booklet that follows along five teaching videos. There are three ways this curriculum can work.

1. Remote Class - Uploaded the videos to YouTube and send them to families to watch on their own. Then come together for an orientation that reviews the material.

2. Day Seminar - Host a one-day session where you watch all five videos together. This would be great over a lunch meeting with childcare so that families could still talk together.

3. Small Groups - Get families into small groups over the four weeks leading up to orientation. Have them watch the curriculum together while discussing the topics as they go. This gives them instant connection to groups of parents going through the same stages of life together. (this is the preferred method)

PREVIEW THE SESSIONS

SESSION ONE - This session explores what Calibrated Values is all about. The guide will walk families through what a Rabbi's Yoke is and why Jesus said that his yoke is easy and his burden light. (Matthew 11:35)

Session two - There are three ways we all learn growing up and how they influence the way we parent our children. The goal of this session is to help parents think through the ways they've learned, and how intentional teaching is the most effective way for us to learn - as well as teach.

Session Three - Session three is all about Intentional learning. This session will help parents understand what it means to love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

Session Four - There are two commands that Jesus says are equally important. These two commandments can be used to understand the yoke of Jesus. When they are done properly, it helps calibrate our life and values.

Session five - In this final segment, families will understand what the Bible says about child dedication before hearing from their facilitator about what their next steps are.
