Love the Lord with all your STRENGTH

What does it even mean to love the Lord with all your strength? Does it mean to be a weightlifter for God? I do not think that a group of people going to the gym in order to 'workout for Jesus' is what this is referring to. Plus, I've been tired ad weak before. If loving god requires me to have strength, then there are times where my love for him must be weak also.

David tells us in Psalm 73:26,

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

We also read in Isaiah 40:29-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

So is it even possible to love the Lord with all our strength, by using His strength to love him? Is it borrowed strength that brings our love to him?

The answer is in Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

this is where our value for Loving God with all our strength comes from. We say - Do It For God!
